The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and commercially aware Lead Business Analyst to support the ongoing development and optimisation of our Smoothed Fund product range. This is a strategically important role that sits at the intersection of product innovation, regulatory alignment, and technical delivery.
You will bring deep domain expertise in retirement solutions and asset management, with a particular focus on smoothed investment products. You will be responsible for translating complex business and regulatory requirements into actionable technical solutions, while continuously integrating external market intelligence and industry best practices to ensure our products remain competitive and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical analysis and development of the Smoothed Fund product suite, ensuring alignment with business strategy, customer needs, and regulatory frameworks.
- Produce high-quality product artefacts, analysis documents, and technical specifications to support product evolution and delivery.
- Act as a subject matter expert on smoothed investment products, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across product, operations, compliance, and IT to gather, analyse, and refine business requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, testable functional specifications and support delivery teams through the full development lifecycle.
- Map current and future-state business processes, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and innovation.
- Benchmark internal capabilities against external market standards and best practices, recommending enhancements to maintain competitive advantage.
- Support change management, testing, and implementation activities to ensure successful product launches and updates.
- Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making across the business.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in asset management or retirement solutions, ideally with exposure to smoothed fund products.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and product structures (e.g. Smoothed Funds and or other investment strategies).
- Demonstrated ability to integrate external market insights into product development and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Visio) and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
We want to hire the whole version of you.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.
If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
