About the role:
Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions? As a Portfolio Data & Insights Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling data-led decision making across NFU Mutual’s Enterprise Change Portfolio. This is a high-impact role that supports the successful delivery of change initiatives by providing expert analysis, performance tracking, and visual storytelling to senior stakeholders.
In this dynamic and strategically important role, you’ll:
- Deliver insightful analysis and reporting across the Enterprise Change Portfolio, using advanced data manipulation and visualisation techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify analytical needs and provide thematic insights that enhance decision making.
- Monitor key performance indicators and resource allocation trends, offering recommendations to optimise delivery outcomes.
- Lead the production of accurate, timely, and engaging reports that support portfolio governance and performance tracking.
- Support budget forecasting and expenditure monitoring to ensure financial alignment with departmental objectives.
- Coach and mentor colleagues to build data literacy and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analyse programme and project controls to identify risks, issues, and dependencies, helping to mitigate potential impacts.
About you:
You’ll bring a blend of technical expertise and collaborative spirit, with a strong foundation in data analysis and stakeholder engagement. Your ability to translate complex data into compelling insights will be key to your success. Your skills will include:
- Proficiency in Power BI and Excel for data visualisation and modelling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and present findings clearly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and influence outcomes.
- Team leadership/coaching experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Management of Portfolios Foundation (Essential).
- P3O Practitioner and Management of Portfolios Practitioner (Desirable).
- Experience producing briefing materials for governance and leadership teams.
- Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to lead through others.
