JOB DESCRIPTION
Oversees end-to-end project planning, execution and closing of Vave's change projects. Contributing to the definition and management of project standards, tools, reporting and delivery across change projects. The role requires experience to agile methodologies and proficiency in using Azure DevOps.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivers complex, technology projects with defined scope, success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) within budget, on time and in line with Vave’s standards.
- Assesses project requirements to determine the most appropriate delivery methodology (agile or waterfall), and ensures the chosen approach is applied effectively to achieve project objectives.
- Where appropriate, ensures projects are executed following agile principles, including iterative planning, continuous feedback, and adaptive workflows.
- Where appropriate, leads projects using the waterfall method where appropriate, ensuring structured planning, clear stage gates, and robust documentation.
- Utilises Azure DevOps to manage project tasks, track progress, and facilitate team collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identifies, assesses, and manages delivery risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place and regularly reviewed.
- Maintains comprehensive RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) to ensure all project risks and issues are tracked, communicated, and addressed in a timely manner.
- Manages relationships with external suppliers, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and quality standards are met, and acts as the primary point of contact for supplier communications and escalations.
- Leads transparent and efficient resource planning and allocation processes for ongoing projects within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Shapes effective project governance and reporting in line with project management standards.
- Drives regular project reviews, monitoring the progress and results of all ongoing projects and acting upon action points to achieve KPIs.
- Leads end-to-end project plans for assigned projects, including highlighting the critical path and communicating any variances that impact project delivery to relevant stakeholders.
- Manages and escalates project risks, actions, and issues through proactive communication and collaboration with stakeholders and various teams.
- Identifies and manages inter project and wider dependencies across the change portfolio.
- Drives engagements with internal and external stakeholders to capture and prioritise project demands and to ensure communications are clear, transparent and timely.
- Contributes to the high performing team and drives improvements by working closely with colleagues to ensure knowledge and cross-sharing of information
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM, Scrum Master, SAFe) is highly desirable.
