We have the opportunity for a
Business Analyst to join our
Business Transformation department here at
Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting into the lead Business Analyst, the role will contribute to the strategic objectives of Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) through the delivery of change. Business Analysts act as an intermediary between the business users and the technical teams to capture business requirements and design processes & solutions. Business Analysis spans people, process and technology changes within TMK.
The role includes responsibility for:
Business Analysis – SFIA-Aligned Responsibilities (Level 5)
- Stakeholder Relationship Management (RLMT)
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure business readiness through clear communication and engagement.
- Business Analysis (BUAN)
- Lead the definition and documentation of business problems, opportunities, and proposals for change.
- Elicit, prioritise, and manage business requirements with full traceability to business objectives and processes.
- Conduct gap analysis and define current/future state processes to support solution design.
- Business Process Improvement (BPRE)
- Identify and assess opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with business owners to define measurable benefits and success criteria.
- Solution Architecture (ARCH) – in collaboration
- Work with Business Systems Analysts and Architects to evaluate solution options and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Maintain solution integrity throughout the delivery lifecycle, including integration with third parties.
- Change Implementation Planning and Management (CIPM)
- Support the development of business readiness plans and contribute to change impact assessments.
- Assist in UAT planning, test coverage review, and post-implementation support.
- Requirements Definition and Management (REQM)
- Own the analysis workstream within projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with project goals.
- Evaluate Change Requests against agreed requirements and business benefits.
- Risk Management (BURM)
- Identify and document risks and issues related to business analysis activities, ensuring they are managed to resolution.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of insurance as well as an understanding of business process modelling annotations. Experience working with workflow tools or low code platforms would be advantageous for this role.
You will also have the ability to select the appropriate BA tools & techniques for projects and tasks depending on the methodology being used and the outcomes being sought. An understanding of both agile & waterfall project delivery methodologies. We are looking for someone adaptable, proactive and diplomatic, who has exceptional communication skills and an analytical mindset.
