Job Description
As a member of the Corporate Actuarial Department, this position works directly with the Claims Department, Finance Department, and Senior Management to provide technical and analytical actuarial expertise. Hybrid work location enables hands-on training and professional growth combined with flexibility.
What you will do:
- Perform semi-annual reserve reviews
- Prepare reports and analyze data in support of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Create monthly and quarterly actual vs. expected reports
- Produce and reconcile Schedule P annually
- Prepare reports in support of Actuarial Opinion annually
- Support various needs for IFRS 17 reporting
- Perform ad-hoc analyses as directed
What YOU will bring to C&F:
- Minimum of one year actuarial experience, college graduates will be considered with relevant internship experience
- Successful completion of one actuarial exam, two preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; SQL knowledge preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem solving ability
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with guidance as well as collaboratively.

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $68,200.00 to a maximum of $100,000.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
