If you want to drive meaningful transformation while developing your own career, now is the ideal time to join us.This role sits within the Motor Pricing team and focuses on developing and delivering street (customer) prices for our Motor products – Car, Van and Tractor.You’ll manage a small team of Analysts, providing coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance. You will be also responsible for recommending and managing street pricing strategies across your portfolio, ensuring independence from risk pricing is maintained throughout. This includes analysing internal and external data, utilising pricing models, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders including those in Data, Modelling, Risk Pricing, Underwriting, Distribution, Claims, and Finance divisions.You will also be accountable for:Designing, implementing and continuously improving Pricing models to ensure model integrity, accuracy and confidenceConducting scenario planning and impact assessments to understand the effect of pricing actions on conversion, retention and profitabilityMonitoring and analysing street price performance and driving value to the businessExecuting a dynamic control cycle, tracking and managing premium delivery, identifying issues, and driving continuous improvementWorking effectively with Underwriting Performance, Modelling, Risk Pricing, Marketing and Sales to ensure delivery of agreed price strategiesDelivering short-term or one-off projects as requiredLeading, managing, motivating and developing your direct reports, supporting their growth and ensuring clear expectations are setThis role will be aligned to our Stratford-upon-Avon offices – expectation is to spend 20% of your week here, with up 80% working from home. About youYou are a commercially minded and customer oriented Pricing professional with strong experience in the GI sector and a proven track record of delivering robust, data driven pricing recommendations. Technical skills required: General Insurance experience Pricing experience (any product, but Personal Lines knowledge is preferred) Radar experience SQL capability Degree educated It will also be highly advantageous if you can demonstrate experience within Price Optimisation, Underwriting and/or running & owning an account. You’ll also have a strong problem solving mindset, and an inquisitive and analytical approach matched with the ability to present technical information to nontechnical audiences. Becoming an effective communicator, with excellent stakeholder management will also be key, showcasing resilience under pressure, and maintaining accuracy and sound judgement. As this position is a management role, you’ll also need to demonstrate experience of leading a team, or coaching / mentoring more junior employees.
