Position Summary
The Captive Insurance Accounting and Reporting Analyst is an integral part of the financial team, specializing in the unique accounting and reporting needs of captive insurance entities. This role involves a blend of complex accounting tasks, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial analysis. The specialist ensures the financial integrity of the captive insurance operations, providing valuable insights that drive business decisions.
What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities: • Manage the administration of insurance policies, ensuring all policy documents are accurate and up to date. • Oversee the processing of insurance claims, ensuring they are handled efficiently and accurately. • Analyze financial data to identify trends, make forecasts, and provide recommendations for financial planning. • Prepare and file tax returns for the captive insurance entities, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. • Monitor the performance of the captive’s investment portfolio, making recommendations for adjustments as needed. • Research accounting matters and communicate conclusions. • Participate in all aspects of quarterly and annual SEC reporting. • Provide critical analysis and audit support. • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. • Ad hoc project work as assigned. Work Experience and Education: • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with 1-3 years of related experience Licenses & Certifications: • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified in Captive Insurance is preferred. The target salary range for this position is $64,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
