Business Development Manager
Location:
Based within the defined territory, preferably near a Chubb Regional or Branch Office. Nashville area preferred, but other locations will be considered.

VP, Regional Business Development and Nashville Branch Manager
Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) drives business growth within an assigned territory by managing relationships with brokers, agents, and distribution partners. Focus is on Chubb’s Small Commercial, Middle Market, and Financial Lines products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Chubb ambassador for a select group of agents.
- Manage agency relationships, including new client acquisition and ongoing client management.
- Achieve key performance metrics: Gross Written Premium growth, new business, profitability, new agency appointments, and market visibility.
- Develop and execute tactical sales plans to capture market share and drive revenue growth.
- Generate new business opportunities with assigned brokers and agents.
- Build and maintain local and regional partnerships to support business development.
- Collaborate with commercial underwriting and field operations leadership.
- Position Chubb products and services competitively in the market.
- Manage customer pipeline to meet/exceed growth goals.
- Serve as primary contact and relationship manager for assigned producers.
- Track and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Work with underwriting to evaluate, price, and propose strategies for commercial accounts.
- Meet internal productivity and service standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of underwriting and/or broker/agent sales experience; commercial lines business development preferred.
- College degree or equivalent business experience.
- CPCU or CIC designation recommended.
- Proven ability to work independently and learn across multiple subjects.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Authoritative knowledge of Chubb commercial coverages, products, and services.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to make independent decisions using Chubb best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with demanding, high-profile customers.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and matrix reporting environment
