Position Summary
The Vice President of Underwriting Operations is a pivotal role within an organization. As a strategic leader, they will drive operational excellence, risk management, and process optimization. Their expertise will shape underwriting practices, ensuring compliance and profitability.
What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensuring profitability, growth, and operational efficiencies aligned with organizational goals.
• Establishing financial control guidelines, administrative standards, and best practices.
• Researching competitors and market conditions to develop risk selection criteria and methods.
• Collaborating with sales, claims, and compliance departments to address complex underwriting issues.
• Working with customers (real estate agents, lenders, attorneys) to resolve underwriting-related inquiries.
• Developing long-term goals and aligning operations with organizational objectives.
• Managing relationships with external partners and service providers.
• Identifying areas for optimization and implementing enhancements.
• Addressing industry trends, opportunities, and issues.
• Ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
Work Experience and Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Business.
· 15+ years of Underwriting experience.
· 7+ years of management experience.
Licenses & Certifications:
· Certified Professional in Operations Management (CPOM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Certified Professional in Underwriting (CPCU) is preferred

The target salary range for this position is $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
