Travel Insured International, a Crum & Forster company, is hiring for a Claims Operations Intern.

The Claims Operations Intern will shadow with team members from different areas of the Claims Department, including Linking, Claims Phone Support, Intake, and Claims Analyst, to learn the functions and systems used in each role.
In addition, they will assist with reporting, writing procedures for our knowledge management platform, ProNavigator, attend Bi-Weekly Huddles and team huddles.
This is a hybrid Summer Internship, with time in our Glastonbury, CT office. Two days are required in the office throughout the Internship.
Job Description
What you will do:
- Serve as a customer advocate in all interactions by providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Provide accurate and timely verbal/written communication with insureds, travel advisors, internal customers, etc. to assist with policy and claim inquiries. Responsible for updating all applicable systems to capture actions taken on record.
- Ensure all inquiries and tasks are completed within the required Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- May assist with developing, updating and governing internal procedures, workflows and/or job aides.
- May assist Claims with projects and initiatives.
- May assist with operational reporting and data analytics.
- May assist with phone calls, first notices and other operational tasks for the Claims department to service and support customers and travel advisors as needed per business needs to meet SLAs.
- May serve as a member of the disaster recovery call center team through our business contingency protocol.
- Deliver complete, timely, and accurate work.

Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from an accredited College/University
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required
- Strong Communication Skills
- Customer service experience preferred

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $16 per hour to a maximum of $25 per hour. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
