Job Overview
Specialty Lines Managing General Underwriting Agency is seeking an enthusiastic Underwriting Support Assistant who is driven to succeed. The selected candidate will play a key role in providing administrative support to underwriting teams that handle a variety of insurance lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support multiple underwriters and product lines concurrently, ensuring seamless workflow and efficiency.
- Accurately enter submissions into the Submission Tracking System and maintain a good basic understanding of the products offered by Business Risk Partners.
- Uphold service standards by responding to broker requests and performing administrative tasks promptly.
- Handle special projects as assigned, contributing to the team’s overall success.
Required Qualifications And Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer usage, data entry, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Exhibit respect, humility, accountability, and maintain a strong team-oriented approach.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
Compensation And Benefits
Business Risk Partners provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, all within a flexible and dynamic work environment. The position is full-time with a salary of $45,000.00 per year. The annualized base pay range is determined by market analysis of similar roles. Actual base pay may differ depending on performance, proficiency, and demonstration of required competencies. The base pay is one aspect of the total compensation package.

Work Schedule and Location
- Standard 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday
- Work location is in person for the first six months, with the option for hybrid work thereafter
Education and Language Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- English proficiency is required
Pursuant to Connecticut regulation, the compensation range for this position is as stated and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
Connecticut Pay Range: $45,000 USD - $48,000 USD
