Job Profile Summary The Transformation Portfolio Analyst is a hybrid role that provides both business analyst and reporting support for Underwriting, Claims and Operations portfolios within the Chaucer transformation roadmap. The role is responsible for both supporting on high-profile, strategic programmes of work, and working alongside Portfolio Leads in the production of high-quality management information to support all required governance processes. Job Description Business analysis Assume accountability for Business Analysis activities and deliverables across assigned strategic programmes within the Underwriting, Claims & Operations portfolio Produce, analyse, and manage requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria relating to the portfolio or transformation, aligning them with broader business objectives and ensuring they support the transformation and development lifecycle Assess and identify solution options, factoring in impacts, risks, costs, and business requirements Document, model, and redesign existing business processes, defining necessary changes to achieve business improvements and realise benefits. Serve as the primary interface among business stakeholders, portfolio teams, architecture, change management, and delivery functions Cultivate effective and sustainable relationships with both portfolio and wider stakeholders to facilitate successful Transformation Portfolio delivery Portfolio reporting and analytics Work alongside Portfolio Leads to produce regular portfolio-level reporting covering delivery status, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies, aligned to the cadence of transformation governance Collaborate with Transformation Portfolio Leads to maintain portfolio dashboards, ensuring accuracy and consistency Support the Transformation Governance Manager in providing inputs and management information that will be required to ensure consistency in reporting across all transformation portfolios Participate in key governance forums with senior stakeholders, owning the production of minutes and actions for Portfolio Steering Committees Portfolio Planning and initiative mobilisation Support Transformation Portfolio Leads in the production of Change Briefs, Business Cases and Change Requests, ensuring information is at the sufficient level of detail and consistent with standards set centrally within the Transformation Management Office Support Transformation Portfolio Leads, Business owners and Procurement teams in the identification and onboarding of third-party resources that will be deployed on specific programme / projects Produce ad hoc reports and updates at a Portfolio level Risk, issue and dependency management Maintain portfolio-level RAID logs, ensuring timely updates and escalations Work alongside Transformation Portfolio Leads to identify cross-project dependencies and support resolution with Programme / Project leads Planning and controls Support the maintenance of integrated portfolio plans and key milestones Assist with financial tracking, forecasting and variance analysis, in collaboration with Transformation Finance and Project Leads Support in invoicing management with third parties to ensure up-to-date and timely financial management Skills and Competencies Business analysis – proven experience as a BA in the delivery of strategic programmes within the London Market Programme governance – proven experience in a PMO, Portfolio Analyst or Project Analyst capacity with a complex change of transformation environment Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving - Ability to interpret and own broad sets of data, identifying trends, and developing actionable insights Artefact production – Excellent attention to detail and the ability to own the production of key reporting artefacts autonomously with minimal requirement for oversight and iteration Stakeholder engagement – the ability to collaborate, influence and challenge senior leaders to ensure robust management of the transformation portfolio Business model understanding – a deep understanding and experience within the insurance industry – preferably London Market End-to-end transformation delivery – experience / knowledge of how complex transformation programmes are shaped, governed and tracked over a multi-year period ABOUT US Chaucer is a leading insurance group at Lloyd’s, the world’s specialist insurance market.
