You’ll contribute to the development of the long-term direction of NFUM through partnering, planning and influencing across our General Insurance business. Working closely with the senior management team the role will provide challenge, insight and analysis enabling informed decisions on sales, claims and profitability to help deliver with the Group’s long-term strategic objectives. Drawing on your financial planning and analysis experience, you will analyse and report on sales trends and claims cost development, using your commercial insight to challenge technical stakeholders around the business. Your understanding of the General Insurance market and industry trends in personal lines will be invaluable as you provide informed recommendations and challenge thinking.You’ll have the capability to build, review, and adapt models that forecast key business metrics, including the company’s medium term plan. You will have strong collaboration skills, with the confidence to challenge subject matter experts on a variety of technical assumptions, such as claims or policy persistency. Your ability to translate complex data into actionable insights through data visualisation and storytelling will enable you to distil key messages for a senior audience. You will also be able to think strategically, working with the business towards delivery of our 2035 strategy, and assessing how future initiatives will impact key metrics and future forecasts.Your strong analytical skills, ability to challenge thinking, and problem-solving mindset will allow you to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, ensuring your insights are clear, compelling, and actionable.
