We are currently looking to add experienced Desktop Auto Adjusters to our team! This role can work remotely or in a hybrid work model.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have experience in Commercial Auto Property Damage claims.
- Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage and assess entitlements which are fair and equitable
- Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with the customer, brokers, claimants, lawyers and other insurers to resolve claims.
- Investigate and settle complex losses
- Manage losses throughout Canada
- Ensure all cases are clearly documented and meet any or all legislative requirements
- Provide technical guidance and consultation to customers, brokers on risk management and control pertaining to trucking and commercial auto accounts
- Conduct evaluations and assessments of commercial auto operations for existing and/or potential business
- Formulate verbal and written recommendations based on technical expertise to help improve the account as required
- Translate assessment findings into a report that supports the commercial auto accounts
- As a representative of the company, provide quality customer service and experience to insureds and brokers as well as to internal customers such as claims adjusters and managers
- Maintain knowledge expertise in commercial auto operations
- Stay abreast to the knowledge of changes in provincial regulations and industry standards
Qualifications & Experience:
- A college diploma or a university degree is an asset
- Minimum of 3 years' experience adjusting Commercial auto claims.
- Long- Haul Trucking and Dealership claims an asset (but not required)
- Ability to handle or oversee moderate to complex claims
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of the provincial legislation governing auto insurance
- Great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Driven with self-initiation and good problem-solving skills
- Customer focused and results driven
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PP)
- Adjuster’s license or have completed a minimum of the first four CIP courses as follows:
- C11: Principles and Practice of Insurance
- C12: Insurance on Property
- C13: Insurance Against Liability—Part 1
- C14: Automobile Insurance—Part 1
- C110: Essentials of Loss Adjusting
