CS Risk & Governance ConsultantPlay a key role in strengthening risk management and governance across Customer Services Provide assurance to senior leaders on risk, controls, audits and regulatory compliance Hybrid working: up to 80% homeworking and 20% in Stratford-upon-Avon. About the roleIn this role, you’ll help ensure effective and consistent risk management and governance across our Customer Services division. You’ll define, implement and embed improvements to our risk and governance activities ensuring adherence to group risk frameworks, providing clear assurance to the Customer Services Executive on risk, controls, audits and regulatory requirements. You’ll take a divisional view of risk, overseeing and coordinating 1st, 2nd and 3rd line assurance and audit activity, ensuring findings are tracked, addressed and closed. You’ll also carry out monitoring and assurance reviews to confirm that current and emerging risks are understood, managed effectively and that opportunities to strengthen the control environment are identified. Working closely with stakeholders across Customer Services and the wider Group, you’ll guide and coach teams on risk, controls and audit expectations, helping to drive consistency and compliance with Group policies. You’ll also support change activity by maintaining a riskbased view of divisional and Group change, providing governance and risk assurance input into projects and programmes where required. About youYou’re an experienced risk or governance professional who enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders and influencing positive change. You’ll bring:Experience within general insurance, risk management or audit environmentsA strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and governance expectationsConfidence in monitoring risk, controls and assurance activity, with the ability to provide clear, balanced insight to senior stakeholdersThe ability to coach, guide and influence others to improve consistency, compliance and risk awarenessStrong communication skills and the confidence to work across teams and functionsA professional qualification such as ACII or a recognised risk qualification (e.g. IRM) would be desirable.At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique.
