Job Summary:
The TMNAS IT Security Engineering intern will support the Technology Security and Risk Management function within the TMNAS IT Department. They will work with senior team members to enforce enterprise Information Security processes and solutions and help maintain security standards and operating procedures.
The ideal candidate will have base-level knowledge in Computer Science and Cyber Security concepts.
Essential Job Functions:
Specific job responsibilities may include:
- Assists with the design, implementation, installation and updates of security software products for enterprise platforms across the server and workstation landscape
- Periodically monitors the various security platform dashboards to determine if there are any security or system issues that need to be addressed and develop automation scripts as needed
- Reviews emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks by going through vendor communications and RSS feeds
- Provides access to security systems for users based on approved requests
- Compiles security status reports and dashboards
- Assists with troubleshooting and responding to security configuration related incidents
- Helps with documentation and inventory of security tools and controls
- Works with operational teams to integrate security into their processes
- Builds and manages custom dashboards using data visualization tools and platforms
- Participates in the evaluation and selection of security products and technologies to support the organization's security goals
Degree / Licenses and Professional Certifications:
- Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a related major
- Course work in IT Security, Computer and Information Technology or Electrical Engineering disciplines
- IT process or framework knowledge (ITIL, COBIT, NIST and ISO 27k) or security certifications a plus

- Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Willingness to learn new technologies, tools and skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to juggling multiple, competing, and frequently changing time-sensitive deadlines and priorities
- Hands on knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, Microsoft Office Suite (including Visio) and or other software supportive of IT governance and/or administration is preferred
