Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Executive Assistant in our Global Internal Audit team, reporting to the Chief Audit Executive, UK, CE and APAC.
Internal Audit is an independent and objective function that enhances organizational operations by systematically evaluating and improving risk management, control, and governance processes to support the achievement of company objectives. Operating globally, the Internal Audit team follows a risk-based approach to conduct audits across strategic, financial, operational, and regulatory areas, while continuously testing the effectiveness of financial reporting controls.
Location: This position will be based in the London office.
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Audit Executive, UK CE and APAC provides high-level administrative, organisational and co-ordination support to the CAE and the other audit leaders in the UK and Luxembourg.

What you’ll be doing:
- Managing diary commitments, scheduling meetings, and coordinating cross regional activities for the Chief Audit Executive and other audit leaders.
- Coordinating meetings & booking meeting rooms.
- Planning and booking travel arrangements
- Providing logistical support for workshops, team sessions, and regional meetings.
- Supporting hiring, onboarding, and engagement initiatives.
- Assisting with preparation of audit committee materials, leadership decks, staffing updates, and regional planning
- Handling sensitive and/or classified material including directing matters to appropriate parties for investigation and response; providing solutions to internal and external inquiries and issues.
- Coordinating timelines and deadlines for meetings.
- Following up on outstanding deadlines.
What you’ll bring:
- A minimum of 5 years in a similar role within the Insurance or Financial Services Industry.
- A high degree of discretion and integrity as the role will involve knowledge of and dealing with issues of a sensitive and confidential nature.
- The ideal candidate will be self motivated with the ability to act with integrity at all times.
- Will need to be reliable, confident, articulate, be extremely proactive and able to act on their initiative, demonstrate excellent written and communication skills and have an adaptable and flexible attitude towards work.
- Needs to be able to prioritise demands and have excellent attention to detail.
- The candidate should have strong organisational skills, be able to influence others to meet deadlines and be able to keep calm under pressure.
- Excellent computer skills are required especially in Excel, Power Point, Visio and Outlook and ability to learn new systems.
