The Senior Client Service Business Analyst – Program Services will provide strategic business analysis services to Program Services. The focus of this position is to work with the business units to gain an in-depth understanding of customer's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates to design system efficiencies to increase overall results within the organization. The Senior Analyst is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to characterize and address operational, financial and technological risks. Responsibilities will include a full range of pursuits in the development of division solutions (i.e. CRM), from large scale project management and strategic design, to leading project teams in an effort to maintain data integrity within the system.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for participation, as assigned, in the accurate processing, collections, and reporting of State National's Program Services client business and is part of the Program Services Analysis and Reporting team with Markel’s State National Program Services. State National Program Services is responsible for the administration of all State National Program Services insurance (and reinsurance), and the safeguarding of State National's assets through timely billing, collection and analysis. This position reports to the Associate Director or Manager, Program Analysis and Reporting.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for managing a number of complex programs, including analyzing the underlying contracts for pertinent details and creating plans to properly account for each
These complex programs do not fit neatly into the current systems and processes. As a result, the senior must also analyze the program reporting provided (vs. using a standard template), collaborate with both the reporting entities as well as internal parties (Management, Legal, Specialty Programs and Client Services) to develop processes and reporting by which to accurately record, analyze and monitor the program’s business
Collaborate with management and IT to design and implement system enhancements by which to accommodate the evolving complex nature of the program business
Work closely with assigned program managers and other functional areas (i.e. Client Services, Actuarial, Compliance, Legal, Reinsurance, and Finance) to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals.
Perform trend and fluctuation analysis on all underwriting data related to assigned programs.
Mentor analysts and technicians and collaborate with teammates to identify, design, and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Adhere to all SOX controls and maintain and follow all department processes and procedures.
Responsible for ad-hoc requests and other strategic and business projects as they arise.
Leads internal and external audit review, as needed.
Oversees/leads systems integration and testing as needed.
Perform account reconciliations including identification and remediation of all issues in compliance with SOX control requirements.
Send and monitor receipt of special reporting requests (Statutory, Premium Tax, Schedule P, Audit, Assessments).
Proficient with reinsurance contract language pertaining to accounting contractual requirements, as applicable.
