What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for an Assistive Technology Specialist to work as part of the Core Technology Platform Operations team where you will provide dedicated support for Assistive Technology users for day-to-day operational issues including project induced change. You’ll be providing a consistent and positive end user experience by proactively identifying change that may impact ways of working and eradicating any instability, whilst collaboratively working with the wider Support and Engineering teams to identify opportunities for improvement for assistive technology related products and services.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide day to day technical support for Assistive Technology users ranging between 1st and 2nd line support.
- Act as technical support liaison for HR Services for any Assistive Technology related queries.
- Work collaboratively with wider support teams where there is a dependency on products and services outside assistive technology that could influence the service and how it operates.
- Champion Assistive Technology within Technology Services embedding it into core governance and process considerations.
- Coordinate all Assistive Technology requirements from induction to completion e.g. packaging, licensing and deployment.
- Highlight common themes and trends via incident management with root cause, with a view to eradicate re-occurrence through re-engineering or knowledge creation.
- Regularly contribute to a continuous improvement forum by identifying risks/issues within our solutions and championing efficiency, automation, and software development as well as general best practice.
- Ensure incidents are resolved within service tolerance levels and work collaboratively with other Service Delivery teams to ensure that incidents and problems are efficiently and effectively dealt with and knowledge articles are maintained.
- Manage and maintain Assistive Technology service requests as necessary.
- Conform to existing governance and standards.
- Excellent customer-centric communication, empathetic towards the needs of assistive technology users with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to follow tasks through to completion
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office
What You’ll Need
- Excellent customer centric communication, empathetic towards the needs of assistive technology users with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable way to non-technical stakeholders
- Sense of ownership to follow tasks through to completion
- Desktop & EUC experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Stack – office 365, teams etc.
- Any experience with MAC or Azure virtual desktop would be useful but not essential
- Experience with Assistive Technology
