Location: This role could be located at either our Birmingham, Telford, Edinburgh or London Offices with the flexibility for remote working.

Reporting Development Specialist to join our Policyholder Performance and Asset Reporting team within the RS&AM Finance Function. This is a great chance to be part of a dynamic team driving impactful reporting and insights across the business.
The Role
- Gather and review asset (including sustainability) and fund data and report requirements from within and outside Asset Management and take responsibility for ensuring that the design, build and test of new or changes to reports is delivered. This includes working with development teams where strategic systems build is required and building solutions using Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Work with relevant teams to source appropriate data for onward reporting
- Work with relevant teams to build data provision and report solutions that meet requirements
- Explore tactical build report solutions if there are delays to strategic solutions.
- Implement appropriate controls within reports to ensure outputs are complete and accurate
- Liaise with the wider team and RS&AM area to deliver continuous improvement of required reports
- Regular contact with the key teams to understand changes to data and systems which impact reports.
- Act as a point of contact to the business for delivery of new Investment Asset (including sustainable investments) and fund data reporting requirements.
- Ensure a controlled handover of developed reports to the Asset Reporting team (as report owners or stewards) so that they understand data lineage and process for report creation.
- Involvement in programme/project work including inputting into requirements, build and testing.
- Work closely with relevant SMEs to anticipate future reporting requirements and lead on gap analyses and timely planning for new reporting.
- Ongoing documentation of reporting governance, processes and procedures, as well as management of reports and MI repository
- Build skills and knowledge around strategic systems, reporting tools and available data.
Essential
What are we looking for:
- Experience with Investment Asset and Sustainable Investments reporting
- Experience with gathering and outlining report requirements
- Experience of working with development teams to ensure required strategic system build meets requirements.
- Experience of using large datasets and building effective reports using Power BI or other Reporting tools
- Demonstrated experience in financial services industry
- Proven capability for working to demanding deadlines and to identify flawed input data, assumptions and/or processing.
- Functional knowledge of end to end investment management technology / operating models, and downstream consumers / value chain.
- Knowledge of Excel and understanding of database structures
Desirable
- Relevant Professional Qualification
- Strong and demonstrable understanding of all funds, asset classes, valuations, calculation methodologies
- Good knowledge and interest in Sustainable Investments, the broader ESG context and issues and the latest disclosure requirements.
- Knowledge of data automation and querying skills (e.g. VBA and SQL)
