Job summary Primary contact and main correspondent on all reinsurance wordings matters, including the review of treaty reinsurance contract wordings and Chaucer outwards reinsurance protections, to ensure that they reflect underwriter intentions and the wider business strategy. Reporting to the Head of Wordings and supported by the wider Wordings team as required. Main duties: Review of inwards reinsurance slips and wordings. Review of outwards reinsurance slips and wordings. Ensure proactive and regular engagement with underwriting teams to understand business goals and to ensure that reinsurance structures remain effective. Draft and negotiate bespoke treaty Reinsurance wordings as required. Managing key stakeholder relationships. Ensuring contract aligns with business objectives whilst navigating evolving Regulatory landscapes. Raising the awareness of wording clauses and their impact with the underwriters. Liaise with the claims department regarding wording issues. Liaise with market peers and remain fully abreast of market developments and trends. Liaise with lawyers where appropriate to determine legal opinion of efficacy of specific wordings and clauses. Our requirements: Proven experience in the London Insurance Market, particularly in relation to ceded/outwards reinsurance placements and inwards international and US treaty reinsurance contracts for Property, Casualty and Marine classes (writing Catastrophe XoL, risk XoL and retrocessional and proportional treaties).
