About The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and technically skilled Head of Applications to lead the development and management of SRG’s enterprise application landscape. You’ll be responsible for core broking systems, CRM platforms, customer portals, and integration tools—ensuring they support business growth, operational efficiency, and customer experience. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape application strategy, lead transformation initiatives, and collaborate across the Group.
What you will be doing
- Owning the full lifecycle of enterprise applications, including insurance systems, CRM, and portals.
- Defining and delivering application strategy and architecture aligned with business goals.
- Leading a team of application specialists and solutions architects.
- Collaborating with business units to capture requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Managing vendor relationships and overseeing system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
- Ensuring compliance with FCA, GDPR, and other regulatory standards.
Who we are looking for
You’ll be a confident leader with deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of insurance workflows. You’ll bring a collaborative mindset and a practical approach to delivering change.
You’ll Need
- Proven experience managing enterprise applications in a fast-growing organisation.
- Strong knowledge of application architecture, cloud platforms, and integration methods.
- Hands-on experience with insurance platforms such as Acturis, riskServe, and Salesforce.
- Strong experience in or supporting an insurance brokerage environment.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing third-party vendors.
- Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps, and tools like Azure DevOps.
- Working knowledge of FCA regulations and data privacy laws.
- Certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, or PMP (desirable).
