About the role
This exciting opportunity has become available due to the current role holder moving into a transformational leadership role within the HR Division. As Head of People Insight & Projects, you will set the direction for a modern, data driven People Strategy and turn that strategy into high impact delivery. Partnering closely with senior leaders, you’ll connect external trends with internal priorities, ensure our operating plans are future ready, and champion an inclusive, engaging employee experience. This is a strategic role which shapes how we plan our workforce, optimise our processes and technology, and use insight to drive better outcomes for colleagues and the business.
In this role, you’ll enjoy a broad-based brief and work alongside the HR Director, Head of HR and Heads of our Centres of Excellence providing research and insight to influence and evolve our strategy, as well as providing a lead on Divisional projects, annual operating plans and activities that are clearly aligned with our People Strategy. You will also lead and manage significant change initiatives, preparing and presenting high-quality, evidence-based reports to influence senior stakeholders. You will engage, motivate, and develop your team, ensuring a culture of high performance and adaptability.
Charged with developing the approach to our internal customer experience as well as developing and overseeing the delivery of our approach to People data, insight and business intelligence, you’ll conduct research, in-depth horizon scanning and benchmarking activities, to understand and assess future developments in the Division and the external factors impacting on the people agenda.
Alongside this, the role will also provide strategic project support to our HR Director, whilst promoting a culture of continuous improvement and developing and leading our approach to Strategic Workforce Planning and Organisational Effectiveness. You will lead and manage significant change initiatives, challenging conventional thinking and proactively identifying opportunities to improve our people proposition. You will also be responsible for managing risks and ensuring the organisation is well-positioned to adapt to evolving business needs.
About you
You’re an experienced senior HR leader and a skilled strategic thinker, with a wealth of commercial expertise gained from various different business environments. You will also have an in-depth knowledge and experience of the complete employee lifecycle.
In addition, you must also demonstrate experience of:
- HR Data & Analytics, developing and overseeing people data, insight, and business intelligence to enable data-driven decisions.
- Project & Programme Management, planning, prioritising and delivering complex portfolios.
- Technology & Process Optimisation, designing roadmaps, driving adoption and continuous improvement.
- Designing, owning and managing Strategic Workforce Planning & Organisational effectiveness frameworks and capability across large organisations.
- Strategic leadership & stakeholder engagement, setting direction and influencing outcomes across a matrixed environment.
- Preparing high-quality Board level reports, presenting evidence-based proposals, and influencing decision-making.
