Position Title: 1st Line Compliance Analyst
Reporting to: Client Service Delivery Leader (UK)
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
To ensure that the servicing of the accounts within BMS UK becomes and remains a positive differentiator to our competitors by carrying out the following duties in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
- To work with the business to define the compliance framework and to assist the business to identify, assess and govern compliance risk.
- To provide guidance, support, and advice to managers on regulatory and compliance matters, and contribute to the growth and development of the business at a senior organisational and commercial level and work with the business to define requirements.
- To undertake regular reviews/audits of the business placed by the Business Units, to identify where improvements can be made and advise individuals and the wider teams ensuring Company, Market and legal regulatory requirements are met at all times.
- Raise any major concerns with the management team.
- Provide training where required to the teams to enhance their knowledge and experience.
- Participates in internal meetings, as required, in order to share and develop knowledge and best practice; able to share knowledge and best practice principles with less experienced employees.
- Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and ability to communicate this to various audiences within the organisation.
- Ensure excellent service by providing meticulous checking of processing and procedures against files, ensuring appropriate procedures have been followed and electronic tools have been utilised.
- First Line reviews for the reinsurance portion of SRS, whilst SRS are transitioning due to re-organisation with the team.
- Quarterly compliance declaration for SRS ex Delegated Authority whilst SRS are transitioning due to re-organisation with the team.
- Safra Compliance review.
- Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of regulatory requirements (Contract Certainty, London Market Reform Group Standards, FCA and International requirements).
- Enable and encourage interaction and collaboration with other divisional units.
- Adheres to BMS Group Minimum standards, policies and procedures.
- Adhere to company and regulatory policies and procedures together with mandatory training requirements.
