Job Profile Summary The role of a Project Manager involves overseeing the planning, execution, and finalization of projects related to Technology Operation within the Chaucer Group. The project manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial aspects of each project, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Job Description Define project scope and objectives: Establish clear goals and deliverables for each project. Develop detailed work plans: Create comprehensive project schedules, estimates, and resource plans. Manage and track project progress: Monitor the project's progress against the plan and ensure timely delivery. Ensure adherence to quality standards: Review project deliverables to maintain high-quality standards. Prepare reports for upper management: Provide regular updates on the project's status to senior management. Maintain project financials: Keep all financial and forecast-related information up to date, including tracking costs and updating monthly reports. Work with the finance team: Collaborate with finance to get actual spend information and reforecast the budget quarterly. Manage risks and issues: Identify potential risks and issues and implement mitigation plans. Coordinate with vendors/third-party suppliers: Work with external suppliers to coordinate invoices and coding them in Concur. Ensure projects stay on budget: Monitor and control project costs to ensure they remain within budget. Develop user manuals and training materials: Create necessary documentation for successful implementation and turnover. Regulatory Responsibilities Compliance with ISO27001 and DORA: Ensure that all projects and processes meet the compliance standards set out by regulators, including ISO27001 and DORA deadlines 4. Evidence of adherence to ITIL foundations Prince 2 or equivalent knowledge/experience Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Excellent organizational and project management abilities: Proficiency in managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to liaise at all levels and work collaboratively within a team. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy: Ensuring all project documentation and deliverables meet quality standards. Proficiency in project management software: Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office Suite, databases, and asset management software. Knowledge of IT infrastructure: Understanding of hardware, software, and licensing agreements. Strong financial acumen and budget management skills: Ability to manage project budgets and forecast costs. Education Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: Such as Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline or equivalent experience in such a role. Project Management Certification: Such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Prince2, or equivalent knowledge/experience. Additional certifications: In Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies can be beneficial.
