Finance Planning Analyst (FP&A)

Description
We have an exciting opportunity to work with a small, high-impact team, who are responsible for strengthening and elevating our planning infrastructure. Day to day you will collaborating closely with MI owners to build and refine forecasting models that helping to steer the financial direction of the business, maximise long-term value, shaping our annual budget, planning, and board reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and enhance the Group’s main planning infrastructure, comprising of a three statement model and cash conversion
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial modelling
- Analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results to assess the company’s performance, identifying trends and communicating risks + opportunities to senior leadership
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess potential risks and their financial impacts
- Prepare regular financial reports (Monthly/quarterly finance packs, Group reforecast pack, annual budget)
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor ongoing financial performance
- Work closely with business partnering team to consolidate forecast information into group financial planning model
- Obtain, interpret and utilise effectively financial, actuarial and other operational reports and data from a variety of sources
- Responding to queries and providing analysis to investors
- Ad hoc project and strategic initiative support
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Experience in a central Group FP&A role, with practical hands on experience of 3-statement financial modelling essential, as is a good working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
ful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial modelling and forecasting, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders
We anticipate you will have around three years of post-qualification experience (CIMA or ACCA) we have a particular interest in candidates with experience gained Financial Services, and/or Insurance
While industry experience is preferred, we’re open to candidates with strong FP&A skill set/experience from other sectors. Applicants with recognised accounting or finance qualifications will also be considered.
