Where you come in?
We are looking for an experienced Head of Product, Carrier to lead Ki’s squads that focus on developing our pioneering algorithmic underwriting capabilities. You will work closely with a cross-functional team, including data scientists and algorithm engineers, to shape our future direction for the technology and capabilities that assess risk and manage our portfolios – both of which are critical to Ki’s long-term success. Â
What you will be doing🖋️
Strategic Direction
- Partner with Algorithmic Underwriting leadership to set the long‑term product strategy
- Define the roadmap for our target-state Carrier product, aligning functionality with commercial goals and revenue models
- Stay ahead of market and technology trends to identify opportunities to further digitise specialty insurance
Business Impact
- Champion the work of cross‑functional squads, helping the wider business understand how product decisions drive performance
- Ensure teams focus on the most valuable problems for Carriers and clearly articulate trade-offs and cost–benefit considerations
- Balance short‑term impact with long‑term strategic investment
Product Leadership & Team Development
- Foster a high‑performance, collaborative product culture across teams
- Lead, mentor, and develop product managers—setting goals, providing feedback and supporting their growth
- Strong commercial mindset with a clear understanding of how value is created within a business
- Experience leading squads building data‑intensive or machine‑learning products
- Solid grasp of data modelling and the potential of AI, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into impactful product features
- Proven track record of taking products from concept to measurable business outcomes
- Comfortable using data to guide decisions while navigating ambiguity and taking calculated risks
- Skilled at making informed build/buy/partner decisions to maximise competitive advantage
- Confident communicator and influencer across all levels of the organisation
- Experience partnering with senior leadership on broader business strategy
- Demonstrated ability to line manage, coach, and develop Product Managers
- Familiarity with agile ways of working and adapting approaches to different teams and problem spaces
- Bonus: experience in financial services or SaaS environments
