Role: Senior Risk Analyst

We’re looking for an experienced risk management professional to join our Risk function to support the delivery of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and risk oversight. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to embed risk awareness and support a range of risk management activities, including deep dives, emerging risk, ORSA, risk appetite, and control effectiveness.

About The Job
While there is rarely a typical day, here’s a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:
- Support the Head of ERM and the wider team in maintaining and enhancing the Risk Management Framework, taking ownership of assigned areas with appropriate guidance and promoting strong risk awareness across the organisation.
- Support and where appropriate lead the preparation, coordination, and delivery of high‑quality reporting and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including committees and working groups.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business to understand their priorities and emerging risk issues.
- Provide effective review and challenge across processes, governance structures, and control environments.
- Contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of the GRC system to strengthen the Risk Management Framework.
- Collate, report, and support the enhancement of risk metrics and tolerances.
- Support the ORSA process by leading key sections and providing clear, insightful input that enhances its value and strengthens risk‑based decision‑making across the organisation.
- Support the ongoing design, review, and reporting of stress and scenario testing across the business.
- Participate in and lead where required core risk management activities, including risk identification, monitoring, and reporting, while supporting the business in establishing and maintaining an effective control environment.
- Investigate and track risk events through to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Contribute to the integrated assurance plan by supporting Deep Dives and developing risk opinions across a broad range of risk areas and departments.
- Attend operational and project meetings to provide risk management advice, challenge, and support to business stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of key regulatory submissions, including contributions to Principles‑Based Oversight Attestations.
- Monitor emerging risks and market trends, assessing their potential impact on MS Amlin and the wider Lloyd’s market.
- Prepare clear, concise, and impactful risk reporting for Senior Management and Committees.
- Champion and embed a strong culture of risk awareness across the organisation.
- Support delivery of the Risk & Compliance Knowledge Management pillar by raising awareness of risk management topics across the organisation and within the team.
- Support 2nd line functional objectives by working collaboratively across pillars to achieve shared goals, including participation in away‑day activities, team meetings, and inter‑departmental projects.

What you’ll need:
For this particular role there are some important qualifications and experience we need you to be able to demonstrate through your experience and achievements. These include:
Essential
- 4 years or more of risk management experience
- Good execution skills and an ability to remain resilient under pressure and change
- Ability to participate meaningfully in meetings with stakeholders
- Experience of risk management frameworks and processes
- Good organisational and analytical skills
- Strong analytical skills and experience of writing reports
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate in writing and verbally
- Strong self management capability – can effectively manage own time and actively prioritise
It would be advantageous if you also have experience in any of the areas below:
- Good knowledge of the Lloyd’s Market
- Project related Risk Management
- Stress and Scenario Testing
- ORSA Processes
- Auditing/assurance reviews
