Operations Governance and Reporting Lead

Description
You will be take the lead on reporting and governance in the Global Operations Team to ensure that the Global Operations Director and Operations Leadership team are working effectively and efficiently and give the Executive Committee, Board and other stakeholders visibility and the opportunity to effectively oversee CFC’s operations.
This role will involve close collaboration with underwriting management, Change, IT, Risk, compliance, and other key stakeholders to design and embed governance and reporting that facilitates quick and effective decision making as the business grows globally, as well as solving problems and finding opportunities to do things better.
About the role
- Enhance and maintain Operations Governance (e.g. the Operations Forum) – ensure the Global Operations function has the right structure in place to surface critical topics, support effective decision making, evidence oversight and escalate things outside of Operations as required
- Build and embed reporting and MI that facilitates data driven interventions and decisions making – Work with Operations Leadership and stakeholders around the business to enhance the reporting Global Operations uses to monitor performance and drive improvements
- Maintain a centralised view of key Global Operations actions emanating from Audits, Carrier Reviews, Projects and various governance forums – proactively surface to help Operations Leadership team apply proportionate focus and work with stakeholders across the business to move things forward
- Ensure Global Operations utilizes the broader CFC governance framework effectively – map stakeholders and forums and help ensure the right things are surfaced to the right places to help the Executive Committee and Board exercise oversight and gain assurance. This may include drafting papers
- Incident Management – Be a key contact for 2nd and 3rd lines of defence and, at times, step in to directly manage incidents and remediate issues including running retrospectives and establishing root cause and lessons learned
- Undertake ad-hoc initiatives and projects on behalf of the Global Operations Director
About you
You’re highly organised and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment, with the resilience to operate accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You’re confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels — including senior leadership, C‑suite and Board — and you bring a proactive, autonomous approach to your work. With excellent attention to detail, strong written and numerical skills, and a calm, professional communication style, you build trust through clarity, courtesy, and sound judgement.
You bring experience working in a mature, highly regulated environment, with a strong understanding of governance, risk, and control frameworks. You combine solid business and technical acumen with the ability to multitask across initiatives of varying size and urgency, using tools (including GenAI where appropriate) to improve efficiency and quality. Experience in areas such as governance paper drafting, data and MI, change or project management, and risk management would be beneficial — but above all, you’re someone who takes the time to understand the wider CFC business and how Operations can contribute meaningfully to its success.
