Job Description
Our AI Factory team is looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable Business Systems Analyst with a strong sense of ownership. This role requires someone who thrives with minimal supervision, takes pride in their work, and consistently strives for excellence. As Business Systems Analyst, you will document business and system requirements for and work with stakeholders across Personal Insurance, Commercial Insurance, Claims, Finance, EPMO, Quality Assurance, Release Management, Scrum Masters and Business Owners and be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of business problems, development of recommendations, and implementation of solutions that meet the business needs.
You will be responsible for gathering requirements, analysis, documentation management, and communication for projects or deliverables. You will write and execute robust User Acceptance Testing to ensure quality deliverables. Supporting Product Owner your primary responsibilities include deriving requirements, product refinemnet of the intended change through research and your knowledge of insurance products and systems, documenting business flows and associated changes, conducting UA Testing and Post production Acceptance Monitoring.
What To Expect
- Serve as a liaison between the business and technology development teams and insurance applications
- Define requirements from business users and subject matter experts using techniques such as interviewing, job shadowing and documentation analysis
- You will document system impacts working with subject matter experts and support flawless delivery
- Analyze business needs for both functional and non-functional requirements using several techniques
- Execute requirement plans, manage scope and requirements through projects and system enhancements
- Own, prioritize, and implement requirements, provide input into functional specifications, conduct requirement reviews, and obtain project sponsor approval of requirements. Ensure all project team members are informed of requirements and subsequent changes.
- Assess and validate proposed solutions against requirements to ensure business needs are met and support testing and design activities
- Define and Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating and managing defect resolution during project and system enhancement implementations.
- Execute post-production validations and monitoring, when required, to ensure high quality system releases.
What You Bring
- University Degree in a relevant field - 3-5 years’ relevant experience as a Business Systems Analyst or experience in working with Insurance products and systems
- Experience with industry AI use cases , AI and cloud platforms
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision-making capabilities and facilitation skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to clearly communicate with business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities - operating independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge with software development lifecycle and release management
- Demonstrated experience in creating Business Cases, Business Requirements Document, other Business requirement artefacts and testing documentation
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating with business stakeholders on functional design issues and detailed solution design sessions, negotiating on issues for production
- Experience with Agile delivery methods and familiar with confluence and JIRA (Tools to manage requirements and change)
- Contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, coordinating and quantifying defect management during project and system enhancement implementations
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
Salary Range: $45,000 - $82,100
