Description
This new Junior IBA Carrier Settlement Junior role will provide an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced finance environment.
As an IBA Carrier Settlement Junior, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities involved with payment bordereau production. This role involves working closely with colleagues to maintain ledger accuracy, resolve queries, and contribute to the smooth operation of the settlement function.
About the role
- Ensure paid declarations are issued and settled in bordereau format within tight deadlines.
- Allocation of payments and accounting entries within our financial system.
- Obtain resolution to queries that arise from submission and payment.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial and regulatory queries.
- Provide support to colleagues and management.
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy.
About you
To be considered for this role you will be organised and able to manage multiple tasks under supervision.
You will also be:
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Understanding of IBA accounting or insurance finance operations (preferred).
- Basic understanding of Lloyd’s market processes (preferred).
