What can you expect from the role?
- Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred Vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently
- Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy
- Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
- Processing claims payments within level of authority after verifying claimant's entitlement
- Initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files
- Assist in managing the property queues
- You are available to work within the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
What you bring to the role?
- A university degree, 2-year college diploma or CIP designation would be an asset
- 2-3 year's experience
- Licensed in New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland would be an asset
- Experience in auto or property claims (knowledge of property is an asset)
- Familiarity with CICS and CDS system
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Actively pursuing CIP designation
- Must be available to participate in catastrophic loss duties across Alberta (potentially on a national basis) if support is required by other regions
- Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers
- Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
- Team player adaptable to a changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary range is $51,300- $94,400
