And with access to senior management and leadership teams, there will be ample scope and plenty of opportunity for you to make your mark.We are looking for a Pricing Development Manager to join the heart of NFU Mutual’s pricing function, leading an agile squad responsible for building and deploying pricing algorithms. This role combines technical expertise with coaching, stakeholder engagement across the business, and project delivery responsibilities. You will support the team in delivering high-quality pricing solutions while building capability across colleagues. With a strong emphasis on leadership, coordination and quality assurance, you’ll oversee the end-to-end delivery of pricing algorithm designs. You’ll manage a small team of specialists, setting direction, prioritising work and ensuring outputs meet customer, business and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the design and implementation of pricing algorithms for deployment into live rating environmentsLead, motivate and develop a team of direct reports, creating an engaged and high-performing working environmentReview and assure code produced by the team to ensure accuracy, stability and suitability for live customer ratingControl the quality of team output through proportionate testing, protecting live pricing systems from errorsPlan, delegate and manage day-to-day workflow to ensure timely and high-quality deliveryManage the team’s contribution across Underwriting and Pricing teams, including planning, delivery, issue resolution and post-deployment supportLiaise with stakeholders across Pricing, Underwriting, IT, Sales and Agency to coordinate delivery and share informationRepresent the Design & Deployment team in meetings and deputise for the Design & Deployment Manager when requiredUndertake and oversee Radar coding activity where necessary to support delivery of robust pricing solutionsContribute to governance, audit and assurance activities as requiredKeep up to date with industry trends and technology developments to drive continuous improvement in tools, processes and methodologies About youYou will also have:EssentialExperience leading or coordinating technical teams in a development, pricing or analytical environmentSolid understanding of pricing algorithm development and deployment conceptsExperience reviewing technical work to assure quality and readiness for productionStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and delivery timelinesConfident communicator able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersProven ability to motivate, develop and support team membersDesirableExperience coding in RADAR and/or another procedural programming languageInsurance or financial services experienceKnowledge of software development practices and testing approachesExperience of workflow management, task allocation and delivery planningBasic SQL or data interrogation experienceDegree in IT, Computer Science or a numerical disciplineExposure to governance, audit or control environmentsAt NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique.
