The Role
As a Business Assurance Associate (Consumer Duty), you will play a key role in delivering outcome-focused file audits across the business, ensuring adherence to Consumer Duty principles and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Consumer Duty and Product Governance teams, you’ll provide valuable insights and data to support continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
This role is central to promoting best practice, identifying areas of concern, and supporting resolution through collaboration with broking teams and senior stakeholders. You’ll also contribute to reporting, incident tracking, and committee updates, helping to maintain high standards across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
Conducting outcome-focused file reviews for Consumer Duty in-scope teams.
Performing targeted audits related to Vulnerable Customers.
Providing feedback and recommendations on areas of risk and improvement.
Promoting best practice aligned with Consumer Duty principles.
Tracking and monitoring remediation actions across broking teams.
Preparing and presenting reports to senior management, highlighting risks and priorities.
Responding to technical queries related to Consumer Duty and vulnerable customers.
Supporting resolution of identified issues in collaboration with other teams.
Maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring accurate incident reporting.
Contributing to committee reporting packs and updates for broking teams.
Who We're Looking For
Experience working in a compliance, audit, or monitoring environment.
Strong understanding of FCA Consumer Duty regulations and vulnerable customer considerations.
Commercial awareness within the insurance broking industry.
Broad knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and insurance principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical mindset with good problem-solving and project management abilities.
Consultative and collaborative approach to sharing best practices.
Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
Ability to build strong relationships and influence across teams.
