Purpose of the Role
As a Claims Operations Assistant, you will provide invaluable support to the claims team, carrying out administrative tasks and liaising with other business units to provide the data and information they need to complete various initiatives including but not limited to: the underwriting process, regulatory obligations, financial reconciliations and performance management. This is a varied role which offers a great foundation for an insurance career.
Duties And Accountabilities
- Assist with data accuracy checks and adjustments
- Liaise with our broker network and Delegated Claims Authorities
- Action loss fund returns, outstanding queries, static claims and missing reserves
- Support adjusters with payment processing
- Provide administrative support for performance oversight and management
- Assist with investigating and reconciling variances
- Claim closures
- Various ad-hoc projects
Skills, Knowledge And Experience
The successful candidate will be/have:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
- A pro-active and positive team player
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage competing demands and deliver results to agreed deadlines
