Description
The Claims Operations team at Convex oversees and manages operations and Management Insight (MI) for the Claims function, working closely with the Head of Claims Delegated Authority and Head of Claims Operations and Head of Claims Oversight. Your role in Claims Operations includes operations and performance analysis across the Firm (the in-house Claims resource) and Factory (the outsourced resource) and driving out insight for the Claims function and the wider business. You will report to the Head of Claims Operations and interact closely on a day to day basis with the Claims Leadership team, the Claims team, outsourced providers and other functions across Convex as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Be an advocate for client service as a brand differentiator and demonstrate behaviour that aligns to the Convex core values.
- Compile information required for annual review of third party arrangements including updated compliance information, performance metrics, SLA data and audit outputs.
- Support analysis across the delegated authority and open market business and assist in driving insight for the Claims function and the wider business. This will involve working in collaboration with the Head of Claims Delegated Authority, Head of Claims Oversight and other internal stakeholders.
- Deliver claims regulatory information to Compliance, as required.
- Support on key Convex projects, as required.
- Ensure adherence to and support execution of the Claims governance framework as outlined in the Claims Process & Procedures.
- Assist the Delegated Claims Manager in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of bordereaux processing using Convex’s bordereaux management system.
- Assist with onboarding, due diligence, audit, and ongoing management of the Third Party Claims Administrators.
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and tracking of audits for the Claims function.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- A background in insurance would be advantageous however we will consider wider financial services experience, specifically if you have gained experience within an operations, internal audit or oversight or governance related role.
- Skilled at building relationships, underpinned by trust and service excellence, with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset; the ability to critically analyse information and draw conclusions.
- Articulate communicator, able to present clearly to your stakeholders.
- Ability to consider and work with different operational models that reflect Convex’s innovative approach
- Proven ability to prioritise and organise effectively
- A natural curiosity and desire to understand the front to end claims process and relationship with Underwriting.
