The role
As Head of Entity Reporting, you will deliver strong financial controllership for the Group’s regulated and non-regulated subsidiary entities, through the delivery of robust, accurate and timely statutory, regulatory and external financial reporting. The role will provide strong leadership as we look to transform the finance function and transition to a future state characterised by efficient processes, clear accountabilities and accurate and insightful financial information.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Lead a multi-site and multi-disciplinary team delivering the financial, statutory and regulatory reporting for the Group’s Life Companies, other regulated and non-regulated entities, including shared services support for Europe as required.
- Manage the reporting responsibilities for circa 60 operating entities under all applicable reporting bases, including IFRS, UK GAAP, Solvency UK and other applicable reporting regimes.
- Oversight of investment reporting and fair valuation oversight activities for the Group’s financial assets, including illiquid assets.
- Manage the aggregation of entity level actuarial analyses of technical provisions, QRT disclosures and Solvency results.
- Preparation of Board and other governance materials relevant to the entity financial reporting
- Ownership of the control environment operating over the entity reporting processes, to ensure the quality and robustness of the entity financial information, including regular attestation processes and any remediation activities
- Support initiatives to enhance entity reporting processes and respond to wider business needs through a period of significant and complex change for the function.
- Self-identify and deliver opportunities for BAU led continuous improvement in processes and controls.
- Lead the relationship with external auditors for the entity statutory and regulatory reporting within audit scope.
- Work with the Segmental Reporting and Analysis team to ensure there is a robust understanding and analysis of the drivers of the financial results and disclosures for the entities.
- Lead the operational management of a large team, including resourcing, performance management, people development and budget management.
