We are looking for our next cohort of summer interns to spend eight weeks making a genuine impact, expanding skill sets, and bringing fresh perspectives to our team. The Team
The Ceded Reinsurance Operations team acts as the vital link between Convex and its external reinsurance partners, managing the process of "ceding" or passing on risk to protect the company's balance sheet. The team is responsible for the end-to-end oversight of ceded re activities, which includes managing an outsourcing partner and ensuring all data feeds for financial and regulatory reporting are 100% accurate.
What makes this team particularly exciting for an intern is their focus on evolution rather than just maintenance. You won't just be watching the gears turn; you’ll be actively involved in strategic projects to increase the quality of ceded processes. The team is currently working with the Change and Technology departments to move towards a long-term digital roadmap, focusing on high levels of automation and the creation of sophisticated metrics and dashboards. It is a unique opportunity to see how complex insurance risks are managed globally while helping the team modernise their operational control framework.
