Role: Senior Compliance Manager

We’re looking for an experienced compliance professional to join our Compliance function to help execute our annual compliance plan and support on all non-financial crime deliverables. You’ll lead a small team of Compliance Officers on a wide range of tasks, such as completion of thematic monitoring reviews, compliance with SM&CR, conduct risk/product governance, regulatory reporting, and delivery of MS Amlin’s Principles for Business attestation.

About The Job
While there is rarely a typical day, here’s a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:
- Leading a high-performance culture within your immediate team and the wider Risk & Compliance function.
- Supporting our underwriters on any placement issues, including review of any licencing, conduct or audit queries that require second line input.
- Working with Co-Sec and HR on compliance with our SM&CR framework and ensure that our applications and governance arrangements are clear.
- Responsible for ensuring MS Amlin is on top of any changes in regulation that impact our entities in UK, Dubai, Singapore and Australia, and work with the business to implement any necessary changes.
- Support delivery of our co-sourced monitoring thematic reviews – helping agree their scope, completion and following up on any assurance actions.
- Helping the delivery of our Lloyd’s PBO attestation – working with stakeholders across the business to evidence how MS Amlin meets Lloyd’s expectations.
- Preparing C-Suite staff on any meetings with Lloyd’s or the PRA.
- Supporting delivery of Risk & Compliance’s Knowledge Management pillar – helping to raise awareness of regulatory initiatives across the organisation and within the immediate team.
- Representing Compliance throughout projects and initiatives across a range of risk areas across the business.
- Oversight and delivery of Horizon Scanning
- Oversight of Regulatory Calendar and Returns, ensuring timely production and submission of global regulatory returns.
- Oversee compliance related risk event reporting and analysis, providing guidance
- Deliver the integrated assurance plan by collaborating with our external Compliance Monitoring Partner, Risk and Internal Audit to agree the plan, define review scopes, and lead stakeholder engagement through to final reporting, ensuring findings are clearly framed and follow up actions are effectively supported
- Ensuring that our regulatory reporting is completed on time and that our policies and standards are kept up to date.
- Overseeing the learning and development of your direct reports.
- Champion and embed a strong risk culture across the organisation, role‑modelling positive behaviours and promoting risk awareness.
- Lead on 2nd line functional objectives, collaborating across pillars to achieve shared goals, including support for away days, team meetings, and inter‑departmental initiatives.

What you’ll need:
For this particular role there are some important qualifications and experience we need you to be able to demonstrate through your experience and achievements. These include:
Essential
- Strong execution skills and an ability to remain resilient under pressure
- Strong people management including coaching and knowledge sharing
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements across Lloyd’s, PRA and FCA, Conduct, Product Governance and Consumer Duty.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Ability to shape MI, providing insight in executive and board committee quarterly reporting
- Strong knowledge of the Lloyd’s Market, its placement and process requirements.
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate in writing and verbally
- Gravitas and the ability to hold your own in meetings with senior stakeholders.
